HomeAgain Microchip Service

 

How soon is my pet activated after being microchipped? We will send your pet’s enrollment form to HomeAgain shortly after administering the chip to be fully entered into their database. This may take 2-3 weeks for completion at which time you will receive an email confirmation and additional information. If an email address was not provided, feel free to contact HomeAgain at 1-888-HOMEAGAIN and request an ID and password to have online access. In the meantime, your pet’s microchip ID is linked to our clinic and in the event something should happen, we will be notified by HomeAgain and will in turn notify you.

 

What does the enrollment include? After the enrollment process, you and your pet can benefit from the full HomeAgain proactive pet recovery system. The activation fee covers a life-long membership in which HomeAgain will keep your contact information in their database. If your pet is found and scanned by a shelter or veterinary clinic, HomeAgain will be notified of a recovered pet. They will then notify you as to where your pet can be found. It is important to notify HomeAgain if there is a change in address or contact information for your pet.

 

In addition, the first year’s membership includes extra services consisting of:

 

*             Free 24/7 Animal Poison Control Consultations

*             Lost Pet Alerts to Area Veterinarians, Shelters, and Pet Rescuers

*             Lost Pet Posters

*             Up to $3,000 Lost Pet Insurance

*             Pet ID Cards

How do I renew the extra yearly service? While your information will remain in the HomeAgain database permanently, these additional services can be renewed annually for $14.99.
