Dr. Wittke’s Approach and Training

Why is holistic care provided at BGVC? Through his many years of practicing western veterinary medicine, Dr. Wittke became increasingly frustrated with its shortcomings in dealing with chronic debilitating conditions. He felt more could be done than traditional treatments, which often made things worse. Because of personal health problems, he was introduced acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. After seeing the successful improvements this form of medicine has to offer, he began studying its affects in the veterinary field and incorporating it into his practice. Several patients at BGVC have begun holistic treatments displaying a noticeable improvement, and in some cases cure, to various diseases and ailments.

What is Dr. Wittke’s education and training? Dr. Wittke has been certified in Veterinary Acupuncture through the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine and The China National Society of Traditional Veterinary Medicine. His interest in holistic care began in 1998 during an introductory seminar. In the spring of 2005 he officially began participating in courses and continues to actively broaden his education enhancing his knowledge and skills to better serve his patients.
